Our Team of Dance Instructors

Edge Dance Academy is home to some of Southern California's most accomplished dance instructors, each of whom brings their own personal approach to the dance floor. See below who they are:

Tabetha Thomas

Artistic Director / Owner

Tabetha began dancing at the age of nine. She was trained in tap, ballet, and jazz at “The Dance Spot” in Fullerton, CA. While dancing she had the privilege to study with some of the industries premiere instructors including, Deidre Madrigal, Yvette Macahilig, Joe Tremaine, Jimmy DeFore, and Steven Peck.

In her 25-year teaching career, Tabetha has achieved multiple Regional and National top awards at various dance competitions. Her competition numbers have also earned numerous “Choreography”, “Most Entertaining”, and “Best Showmanship” awards. In 2003 Tabetha was presented with the esteemed “Best Choreographer Award” at the Youth Omni Awards in Los Angeles, CA.

Alixandra Wynn

Alix started dancing at the age of 2 ½, taking her first combo class while still in diapers. She has continued her training throughout the last 20 years in the studio and at conventions gaining inspiration and instruction from her mother, Tabetha Thomas, as well as dancers like Tina Cypher and Allen Cooper. Alix has been on stage since age 4 competing in Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary but her favorite is Jazz. She is an accomplished instructor and choreographer of all ages at the competitive level with Regional and National award-winning accomplishments. Alix currently continues her own passion for competition in Ballroom. Since 2013 she has trained under the supervision of Professional Latin Ballroom World Champions Olga Ginzberg & Sergiy Kvashyn. Alix is a two time World Pro-Am Champion in Latin Ballroom. Alix embodies the true spirit of dance which can be seen in the passion she puts into every class she instructs, whether it’s a solo or production. That passion is felt by her students as she teaches them the same joy, happiness, and fulfillment that the art of dance has brought her.
